Do Mexico passport holders need a visa to visit Vietnam?

Mexican ordinary passport holders need a visa for Vietnam. The simplest route is the official e-Visa (90 days, single or multiple entry), applied for online before travel. Mexico is not on Vietnam's visa-exemption list, so Mexican ordinary passport holders require a visa for tourism. Since August 2023 (and confirmed expanded in 2025), Vietnam's e-Visa is open to citizens of all countries, including Mexico. The e-Visa is valid for up to 90 days with a choice of single or multiple entry, and is applied for entirely online at the official portal evisa.gov.vn before departure. The government fee is US$25 for single entry and US$50 for multiple entry, with standard processing of about 3-5 working days. Visa on Arrival (which previously required a pre-approval letter) is effectively superseded by the e-Visa for ordinary tourists. Passports must be valid for at least six months and have at least one to two blank pages. E-Visas cannot be extended in-country; travelers must exit and re-apply if a longer stay is needed.
