A Mexican (MX) ordinary passport holder traveling to Suriname for tourism is eligible for the Suriname e-Tourist Card, an official electronic entry document issued through the government's VFS Global portal. The e-Tourist Card is valid for a single entry and permits a tourism stay of up to 90 days. Suriname is in South America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Core requirements are a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival with at least one blank page, a confirmed return or onward ticket within 90 days, and proof of accommodation. Processing is typically completed within about 72 hours, but travelers are advised to apply at least one week ahead. The card cannot be obtained from inside Suriname, and dual nationals must travel on the same passport used in the application.
