Mexico to Namibia visa requirements

Mexican ordinary passport holders need a visa for Namibia, but it is issued as a Visa on Arrival (VOA). Since April 1, 2025, Namibia ended visa-free entry for many non-reciprocating nationalities and now grants tourists a VOA, payable on arrival or applied for online in advance via the official e-VoA portal. As of 2026, a Mexican ordinary passport holder traveling to Namibia for tourism requires a visa, but it is obtained as a Visa on Arrival rather than from a consulate in advance. Following Namibia's policy change effective 1 April 2025 (which removed visa-free access for dozens of non-reciprocating countries), eligible visitors including Mexicans are issued a Visa on Arrival at major ports of entry. Namibia also runs an official online "e-VoA" system (eservices.mhaiss.gov.na) that lets travelers complete the application before departure to speed up airport processing. The fee for non-African Union nationals is N$1,600 when applied online in advance, and higher (around N$2,000) if paid in cash at the border. The visa allows tourist stays of up to 90 days within a calendar year. Passports must be valid at least six months beyond the intended stay, with at least three blank pages, and travelers must show a return/onward ticket. Note: Namibia is in Southern Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so no Schengen 90/180 rule or ETIAS applies. Because one official tourism page still phrases the requirement as "apply for a visa online in advance," travelers should apply through the official e-VoA portal before flying to avoid any uncertainty at the border.
