Mexico to Greenland visa requirements

No visa required. Mexican ordinary passport holders can visit Greenland for tourism visa-free for up to 90 days. Mexican ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Greenland. Greenland follows Denmark's visa-exemption list, and because Mexico is a Schengen Annex II country (visa-exempt for short stays in the Schengen Area and for entry to Denmark), Mexican nationals may enter Greenland without a visa for stays of up to 90 days. Crucially, Greenland is NOT part of the Schengen Area or the EU customs/Schengen zone: a Danish or Schengen visa does not grant entry to Greenland, and conversely a Greenland visa is not valid for Schengen. The 90-day allowance for Greenland is administered under Danish rules but assessed separately from any Schengen 90/180 days you may have used on the European mainland. ETIAS (expected to launch late 2026) covers the Schengen Area only and does not currently apply to Greenland, though Mexicans would need ETIAS for any connecting transit through mainland Denmark/Schengen once it is live. There is no visa fee for this visa-free entry. Travelers should still carry a valid passport, proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds, as these can be checked on arrival.
