Mexico to Armenia visa requirements
Mexican ordinary passport holders need a visa for Armenia, but it is easy to get. The recommended route is the official Armenia eVisa (apply online at evisa.mfa.am): about EUR 7 for a 21-day visa or EUR 15,000 AMD (~EUR 34) for a 120-day visa, approved in about 3 business days. A visa on arrival for up to 120 days (15,000 AMD) is also available at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan as a backup. Mexico is NOT on Armenia's visa-free list. As of mid-2026, Mexico (MX) ordinary passport holders are NOT eligible for visa-free entry to Armenia. Mexico is, however, on Armenia's eVisa and visa-on-arrival eligibility lists, so a tourist visa is straightforward to obtain. The recommended path is the official electronic visa issued by Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs at evisa.mfa.am, which offers two options: a 21-day single-entry visa for roughly EUR 7 and a 120-day visa for 15,000 AMD (about EUR 34). Applications must be submitted at least 3 business days before travel, and approvals are typically issued within 3 business days. Alternatively, Mexicans may obtain a visa on arrival (120 days, 15,000 AMD) at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, but applying for the eVisa in advance is safer and avoids airport queues. Armenia is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers should carry a passport valid for the duration of stay, proof of onward travel, and accommodation details. A separate temporary visa-waiver measure (running through 1 July 2026) exempts holders of valid US, EU/Schengen, or GCC residence permits from needing a visa, but this is residence-based, not nationality-based, so most Mexican tourists will still use the eVisa.
