Do Mexico passport holders need a visa to visit UAE?
Mexican ordinary passport holders do NOT need a pre-arranged visa for the UAE. They receive a free visa-on-arrival: a multiple-entry visa valid 6 months from issue, allowing a 180-day total stay. Thanks to a Mutual Visa Exemption Agreement between Mexico and the UAE (signed 2018, in force 2020), Mexican ordinary passport holders enjoy one of the most generous entry allowances the UAE offers. On arrival at any UAE airport (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.), Mexican citizens are stamped in free of charge with a multiple-entry visa valid for 6 months from the date of issue, permitting a cumulative stay of up to 180 days. No prior application, eVisa, or fee is required for tourism or short business visits. The only firm requirements are a passport valid at least 6 months and proof of onward/return travel. This is double the period granted to US, EU/Schengen, and most Asian nationals (typically 30-90 days). Always carry a confirmed return ticket and hotel/accommodation details, as immigration officers may ask for them.
