Luxembourg to China visa requirements

Visa-free up to 30 days for eligible Luxembourg ordinary passport holders. China's unilateral policy is extended through 31 December 2026. Luxembourg ordinary passport holders can enter mainland China visa-free for up to 30 days per entry for business, tourism, visits to relatives and friends, exchange visits, or transit. The Embassy of China in Luxembourg says the Luxembourg-inclusive unilateral visa-free policy is extended until 24:00 on 31 December 2026, and the NIA country list also includes Luxembourg. Eligible travelers do not need advance notice to a Chinese embassy or a visa application, but they are still inspected by border authorities on arrival. Use an ordinary passport valid for at least the intended stay; travel documents and temporary or emergency documents are not eligible for this unilateral waiver. Carry purpose-matching evidence such as invitation letters, tickets, and accommodation reservations because border inspection may ask for it. Work, formal study, journalism, and stays beyond 30 days require the appropriate visa or stay permit. If a visa is needed, apply through COVA and submit the application to the Embassy of China in Luxembourg; general processing is 4 working days, or 3 working days express, and the current fee table lists EUR 45 for a regular single-entry visa for Luxembourg and other Schengen passports.
