South Korea to Uzbekistan visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders can visit Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism. No visa, eVisa, or pre-registration is required before travel. As of 2026, holders of an ordinary South Korea (Republic of Korea) passport enjoy visa-free entry to Uzbekistan for tourism and short visits of up to 30 days per entry. This arrangement has been in place since 10 February 2018, when Uzbekistan unilaterally abolished visa requirements for South Korea along with Japan, Israel, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Turkey. The 30-day visa-free period is confirmed by the Uzbekistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Note that a 60-day allowance applies only to South Korean diplomatic/service passport holders and to certain other nationalities (e.g. Kyrgyzstan), not to ordinary KR tourist passports. Travelers should hold a passport valid for the duration of stay (six months validity is the safe standard), have an onward/return ticket, and be aware of Uzbekistan's guest registration rule: visitors must be registered within three working days of arrival, which hotels and licensed accommodations handle automatically. For stays longer than 30 days or for non-tourist purposes, an appropriate Uzbekistan visa (available via the e-visa.gov.uz portal) is required.
