🇰🇷South Korea🇶🇦QatarKR-QA South Korea to Qatar visa requirements
South Korean ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for Qatar. You receive a free visa-exemption stamp on arrival allowing stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period for tourism. Under the Qatar-South Korea mutual visa waiver agreement signed on 21 September 2022, holders of ordinary South Korean passports are exempt from obtaining a visa to enter Qatar for tourism or short visits. On arrival at Hamad International Airport (or any other port of entry), eligible Korean travelers are granted a free visa-waiver entry permit allowing a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. The waiver is issued automatically at immigration at no charge, with no advance application, eVisa, or Hayya registration required for short tourist trips. (A Hayya A1 entry visa remains available as an optional alternative but is unnecessary for Korean nationals.) Officially, Visit Qatar requires the passport to be valid for at least 3 months from the date of arrival, though many carriers and references recommend 6 months of validity to be safe. Immigration may ask to see proof of onward/return travel and confirmed accommodation. The 90-day visa-free entry is not extendable; travelers wishing to remain longer must apply for an appropriate visa or residence permit through Qatar's Ministry of Interior. Note this verdict applies to ordinary passports only and to tourism/short visits; work, study, or long-term stays require the relevant Qatari visa.
