South Korea to Pakistan visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders need a tourist e-Visa to visit Pakistan. Apply online before travel at the official Pakistan Online Visa System (visa.nadra.gov.pk). There is no visa-free entry, and the previous free visa-on-arrival / Visa Prior to Arrival channel was suspended on 1 January 2026. As of 1 June 2026, a South Korea (KR) ordinary passport holder traveling to Pakistan (PK) for tourism must obtain a Pakistan tourist e-Visa in advance through the government's online portal (visa.nadra.gov.pk). South Korea is on the list of countries eligible for the online tourist visa, but it is NOT among the nine nationalities exempt from the e-Visa fee (Afghanistan, China, Japan, Iceland, North Korea, Slovakia, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia), so a paid application is required. Importantly, Pakistan suspended its free Visa Prior to Arrival (VPA) / visa-on-arrival facility for 126 nationalities effective 1 January 2026 — that fast, free 24-48 hour route is no longer available, and travelers must now use the standard paid e-Visa, which can take up to 7-10 working days (sometimes longer). The standard tourist e-Visa is typically issued as a single-entry visa permitting a 30-day stay, with validity of 30 to 90 days from issuance. Pakistan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. The verdict is therefore evisa, and travelers should apply only through the official NADRA portal and budget extra processing time given the recent policy change.
