South Korea to Kazakhstan visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders can enter Kazakhstan visa-free for tourism and short visits for up to 30 days per entry. No visa or pre-arrival authorization is required. As of 2026, holders of an ordinary Republic of Korea passport do not need a visa to travel to Kazakhstan for tourism or other short visits. Under the bilateral visa-waiver arrangement (reinstated April 2022 after COVID-era suspension), Korean nationals may enter and stay visa-free for up to 30 calendar days per entry. The cumulative cap is 90 days within any 180-day period, and no more than 120 days within a single calendar year. There is no eVisa, no visa-on-arrival fee, and no electronic travel authorization to file before flying. Following 2025 reforms, temporary migration registration is no longer required for stays of up to 30 days; if you stay in a hotel, registration is handled automatically at check-in. Your passport should be valid for at least six months and have a blank page, and you should be ready to show proof of onward or return travel. Travelers planning to work, study, reside, or stay beyond 30 days must obtain the appropriate visa or temporary residence permit in advance. Kazakhstan is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply.
