South Korea to Jordan visa requirements

South Korean ordinary passport holders need a visa for Jordan, but it is easy to obtain on arrival. A single-entry visa on arrival costs 40 JOD and grants a 30-day stay at Queen Alia International Airport and most land borders. An eVisa is also available, and the Jordan Pass waives the visa fee for tourists staying at least three nights. There is no visa-free entry to Jordan for South Korean (Republic of Korea) ordinary passport holders. Jordan is not in the Schengen area, so the 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Korean travelers have three practical routes for a short tourist visit: (1) Visa on arrival, issued at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), Aqaba (AQJ), and most land crossings for 40 JOD, single entry, valid for a 30-day stay (extendable in-country); (2) Jordan eVisa, applied for online before travel, typically processed within 1-3 business days, with the standard single-entry option also around 40 JOD and a 30-day stay; and (3) the Jordan Pass, the most cost-effective option for sightseers, which bundles the entry visa fee waiver with admission to 40+ attractions including Petra, priced at 70-80 JOD, but the visa-fee waiver only applies if it is purchased before arrival and the traveler stays a minimum of three nights in Jordan. Important exception: visas are NOT issued on arrival at the King Hussein / Allenby Bridge crossing, so travelers using that border must obtain a visa in advance. A passport valid at least 6 months beyond intended stay with two blank pages, plus proof of onward/return travel, is required. For the typical short tourist stay, visa on arrival is the simplest single-fit channel, though the Jordan Pass is usually cheaper overall for those visiting Petra and staying 3+ nights.
