🇰🇷SOUTH KOREA🇪🇸SPAIN (SCHENGEN)KR-ES Do South Korea passport holders need a visa to visit Spain (Schengen)?
South Korean ordinary passport holders can visit Spain visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area. No visa or travel authorization is needed as of 30 May 2026 (ETIAS is not yet required). South Korea has visa-exempt status for the Schengen Area, which includes Spain. An ordinary Korean passport holder may enter Spain for tourism, business, family visits, or transit without a visa for stays of up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. The 90/180 limit is shared across all Schengen states combined, not per country. At the border you must hold a passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen area and issued within the previous ten years, and may be asked for a return/onward ticket, proof of accommodation, and proof of sufficient funds (around EUR 122 per day, minimum EUR 1,099 for stays of nine days or more). The EU's ETIAS travel authorization is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2026 with a transitional grace period, meaning it will not be mandatory before around April 2027; until then, no authorization is required. For paid work, study over 90 days, or longer residence, a national visa from a Spanish consulate is required instead.
