Japan to Trinidad and Tobago visa requirements

Japanese ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Trinidad and Tobago. Japan is on the visa-exempt list and may stay up to 90 days. You must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months, proof of onward/return travel, and proof of sufficient funds. Trinidad and Tobago grants visa-free entry to holders of an ordinary Japanese passport for tourism and short visits. Japan appears on the Trinidad and Tobago visa-exemption list (Ministry of Homeland Security / Immigration Division), which permits stays of up to 90 days without a visa. This is confirmed by the Embassy of Japan in Port of Spain, the T&T Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, and IATA-aligned travel references. Trinidad and Tobago is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so no ETIAS or Schengen 90/180 rule applies. On arrival, the Immigration officer determines the exact length of stay granted; an onward or return ticket and proof of accommodation/funds may be requested. A passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay is strongly recommended. If arriving from or transiting a yellow-fever risk country, a vaccination certificate may be required. No application or fee is needed in advance for a visa-free tourist visit; travelers complete the immigration/customs declaration on arrival. Always reconfirm with the airline and the Immigration Division before departure, as admission is ultimately at the discretion of the border officer.
