Japan to Panama visa requirements

Japanese ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Panama. They may enter visa-free and stay for up to 90 days. Japan is on Panama's visa-exemption list, so holders of an ordinary Japanese passport may enter Panama for tourism without a visa and stay for up to 90 days. No advance application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required. At immigration, travelers should hold a passport valid for at least 3 months from the date of entry, a return or onward ticket, and proof of economic solvency of at least US$500 (cash, recent bank/credit-card statement, or traveler's cheques). Panama is in Central America and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Overstaying the 90-day limit can result in fines, so travelers planning a longer stay should arrange the appropriate visa or extension before the period ends.
