Japan to Kyrgyzstan visa requirements

Japanese ordinary passport holders can enter Kyrgyzstan visa-free for tourism. No visa, no advance application, and no e-visa is required for a short stay. Japan is one of the countries Kyrgyzstan grants unilateral visa-free entry to. As of a rule change under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 855, effective 31 December 2025, Japan is among 55 nationalities now permitted to stay visa-free for a maximum cumulative period of 30 calendar days within any 60-day window (previously 60 days within 120 days). Japanese tourists simply arrive at a Kyrgyz port of entry (e.g. Manas International Airport, Bishkek) with a passport valid for the duration of stay and are admitted without a visa. No prior registration is required for stays within the 30-day visa-free allowance. Travelers planning to stay longer than 30 days, or who exceed the cumulative limit, should obtain an e-visa (available online since 2017) or a residence permit before overstaying, as overstays can lead to fines and future entry restrictions. Passports should have at least two blank pages and be valid for the period of intended stay; for e-visa applicants, validity of at least 6 months beyond the requested visa period is required.
