Japan to Jamaica visa requirements

No visa is required. Japanese ordinary passport holders can enter Jamaica visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days. The only mandatory pre-arrival step is the free online Electronic Passenger Declaration (C5 form). As of 2026-06-01, holders of an ordinary Japanese passport do NOT need a visa to visit Jamaica for tourism or a short visit. Jamaica's immigration authority (PICA) lists Japan as "No visa required" for stays of up to 30 days, and this is corroborated by international visa references. Jamaica is a Caribbean nation and is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. While no visa is needed, every arriving passenger - regardless of nationality or age - must complete and submit the free Electronic Passenger Declaration (the C5 immigration and customs form) online via the official enterjamaica.gov.jm portal before passing through immigration; it can be filed up to 30 days before arrival. Travelers should hold a passport valid for the duration of stay, proof of onward or return travel, evidence of accommodation, and sufficient funds. Stays beyond 30 days, or travel for work, study, or other non-tourist purposes, require prior authorization or a visa/extension from PICA. Always confirm details with PICA or the Embassy of Japan in Jamaica close to departure, as immigration officers grant the actual period of stay at the port of entry.
