Italy to South Sudan visa requirements

Italian passport holders need a visa for South Sudan, and the simplest route is the official eVisa applied for online before travel at evisa.gov.ss. South Sudan requires Italian (EU) ordinary passport holders to hold a visa for tourism or any short visit. Italy is not on South Sudan's small visa-exempt list, which covers only Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Travelers create an account, complete the online form, upload their passport bio-data page and supporting documents, pay by card, and receive a PDF eVisa to print and present at the port of entry. The tourist eVisa is available as a single-entry visa (typically 90-day validity, stay up to 90 days) or a multiple-entry visa (longer validity). Required supporting items include a passport valid at least six months with a blank page, a yellow fever vaccination certificate, proof of accommodation or a local address, a return/onward ticket, and proof of sufficient funds. Standard processing is a few business days, but allow extra time. Note that South Sudan is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply; this is a separate national visa.
