Italy to Oman visa requirements

Italian (ordinary passport) travelers do NOT need a visa for a short tourist visit to Oman of up to 14 days. Italy is on Oman's visa-exemption list, so you may enter at the airport with no advance application, provided you meet entry conditions. For stays longer than 14 days, apply for an eVisa via the Royal Oman Police portal before travel. As of 2026, Oman grants visa-free entry to citizens of more than 100 countries, including Italy, for tourist stays of up to 14 days. This unilateral exemption (in force since the 2023 expansion of Oman's visa-waiver list) means Italian ordinary passport holders need no pre-arranged visa or eVisa for a short visit. At the border you must show a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed return/onward ticket, a confirmed hotel reservation, valid health/travel insurance covering Oman, and proof of sufficient funds. The 14-day visa-free stay cannot be extended or converted to another visa type. Oman is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 rules and ETIAS do not apply. If you intend to stay longer than 14 days, you must obtain a tourist eVisa from the official Royal Oman Police (ROP) eVisa portal before arrival; common options are a 10-day eVisa (5 OMR), a 30-day single-entry eVisa (20 OMR), and a 1-year multiple-entry eVisa (50 OMR, 30 days per visit). Always verify the latest rules on the official ROP eVisa site shortly before you travel, as Oman periodically updates its exemption list and conditions.
