Italy to Belize visa requirements

Italian (ordinary passport) travelers do NOT need a visa for tourism in Belize. You are granted up to 30 days on arrival, free of charge. You must complete the mandatory online iDeclare arrival form before you land and carry a valid passport, onward/return ticket, and proof of funds. Italy is on Belize's official visa-exempt list, so ordinary Italian passport holders may enter for tourism without a visa and receive a stamp valid for up to 30 days. No advance visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival payment is required for the initial entry. Since 1 January 2025, all arriving travelers (including the visa-exempt) must submit Belize's digital iDeclare immigration and customs declaration online before arrival and present the resulting QR code at the border. Standard entry conditions apply: a passport valid for the duration of stay (3+ months recommended), confirmed onward or return travel, and sufficient funds. Stays beyond 30 days require an in-country extension at a Belize Immigration office for a monthly fee. There is no entry fee, but a departure tax (about US$73.50 by air, often pre-included in airfare, or roughly US$20 at land borders) is collected when leaving. Belize is in Central America, not the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
