Italy to Azerbaijan visa requirements
Italian passport holders need an e-visa (ASAN Visa) to visit Azerbaijan for tourism. Apply online before travel via the official evisa.gov.az portal; no visa is issued on arrival for tourists. Italy is not on Azerbaijan's visa-free list, but as an EU member state it is eligible for the ASAN electronic visa (e-visa). The tourist e-visa is single-entry, valid for 90 days from issue, and permits a stay of up to 30 days. Applications are submitted entirely online at the official government portal evisa.gov.az. Standard processing costs USD 25 (USD 20 state fee plus USD 5 service fee) and takes up to 3 working days; an urgent option costs USD 60 and is issued within 3 hours. The e-visa is delivered by email and must be printed or shown at the border. Azerbaijan is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers staying more than 15 days must register with the State Migration Service after arrival. Passports should be valid for at least the period of intended stay (6 months recommended).
