India to North Macedonia visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit North Macedonia for tourism. Apply for a Type C short-stay visa at the North Macedonian Embassy in New Delhi before travel. A visa-free exception of up to 15 days applies only if you already hold a valid multiple-entry Schengen, US, UK, or Canadian visa. North Macedonia is a Schengen candidate country but is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so it runs its own visa policy and ETIAS does not apply. India is not on North Macedonia's visa-exempt list for ordinary passports, so Indian travellers must obtain a Type C (short-stay) visa in advance for tourism. Applications are lodged at the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in New Delhi (with honorary consulates in some Indian cities). The official short-stay visa fee is EUR 60, and processing typically takes about 7 working days; applications can be submitted up to 6 months and at least 15 days before travel. Importantly, North Macedonia grants a visa-free transit/short stay of up to 15 days per entry to holders of a valid multiple-entry Type C Schengen visa, and under a temporary measure valid through 31 December 2026 also to holders of valid US, UK, or Canadian visas (valid at least 5 days beyond the planned stay) — total stay must not exceed 90 days in any 180-day period. Travellers without one of these qualifying visas must obtain the North Macedonian visa beforehand. Passports should be valid well beyond the trip (at least 90 days from arrival per the MFA; 6 months recommended) with a blank page.

Tourism is a short-stay purpose
Tourist trips fall under the Type C short-stay category capped at 90 days per 180-day period.
