India to Belize visa requirements

Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Belize for tourism. There is no general eVisa or visa-on-arrival; you must apply in advance at a Belize diplomatic mission. The only exemption is if you hold a valid multiple-entry US, Canadian, or Schengen visa, or US/Canada permanent residence, which permits visa-free entry for up to 30 days. A repatriation fee of USD 600 also applies to Indian nationals on arrival. As of 2026, India is on Belize's list of nationalities that require a visa before travel. The official Belize Ministry of Immigration confirms Indian citizens are not visa-exempt and must obtain a visit visa from a Belizean diplomatic or consular mission abroad before arriving; Belize operates no general online eVisa portal and no visa-on-arrival for Indians. A key exception applies: Indian nationals holding a valid multiple-entry US visa, multiple-entry Canadian visa, multiple-entry Schengen visa, or US/Canadian permanent residence may enter visa-free for stays not exceeding 30 days. Official visit-visa fees for Indian nationals are higher than the standard rate: BZD 750 (about USD 375) for single entry and BZD 1,000 (about USD 500) for multiple entry (the Belize dollar is pegged at 2 BZD = 1 USD). In addition, Indian (and Chinese) nationals are subject to a mandatory repatriation deposit/fee of USD 600 collected on arrival. The standard tourist admission is up to 30 days, extendable in-country at an Immigration Office. Belize is in Central America and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply to entering Belize (though a Schengen visa can serve as the basis for the visa-free exemption).
