Israel to Ukraine visa requirements

Israeli ordinary passport holders do not need a visa to enter Ukraine for tourism. They may stay visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period under a bilateral agreement in force since February 2011. No eVisa or electronic travel authorization is currently required. Note that Ukraine is under martial law: its airspace is closed to civilian flights, so entry is via western/southern land borders (mainly from EU states and Moldova), and travelers should carry travel insurance, proof of funds, a return ticket, and proof of trip purpose. A citizen of Israel holding an ordinary passport can travel to Ukraine for short-term tourism without a visa, staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This visa-free regime has been in effect since 9 February 2011 and remains valid in 2026. Ukraine is not part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply here; Ukraine maintains its own separate 90/180 visa-free count. Although Ukraine announced in mid-2024 that it might introduce a reciprocal electronic pre-approval system in response to Israel's ETA-IL, no such Ukrainian ETA has been implemented as of mid-2026, and authoritative visa-requirement tables list no electronic authorization for Israeli nationals. The major practical consideration is martial law (in force since Russia's February 2022 invasion): civilian air traffic is suspended, so almost all travelers enter overland from EU neighbors or Moldova. Border guards conduct enhanced screening and may ask about the purpose of the visit, accommodation, financial means, and return travel. Travelers are strongly advised to hold valid travel/medical insurance and to monitor official safety advisories before and during the trip.
