Israel to Lithuania visa requirements

Israeli ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit Lithuania for tourism. Lithuania is in the Schengen Area, and Israel benefits from visa-free short-stay access of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. No visa or pre-travel authorization is required as of mid-2026 — ETIAS launches later in 2026 but is not yet mandatory. Lithuania is a full member of the Schengen Area, and Israeli citizens holding an ordinary national passport (or an Israeli travel document in lieu of a national passport) are on the Schengen visa-exempt list. They may enter Lithuania and the wider Schengen Area without a visa for short stays of up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period, for tourism, family visits, business or transit. The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date from the Schengen territory and must have been issued within the previous 10 years. The 90/180 rule is cumulative across ALL Schengen states, not per country — days spent in any other Schengen member (France, Germany, Spain, etc.) count toward the same 90-day allowance. Regarding pre-travel authorization: the EU's ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) is scheduled to begin operating in the last quarter of 2026, with a transitional grace period after launch, meaning it is expected to become genuinely mandatory only around 2027. As of 2026-05-30, ETIAS is NOT required and Israeli travelers can fly to Lithuania with just a valid passport. Travelers should still expect to show proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds at the border. Note: a separate EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is being rolled out at external borders, which records biometric entry/exit data but does not require any application by the traveler.
