🇮🇱Israel🇰🇿KazakhstanIL-KZ Israel to Kazakhstan visa requirements
Israeli ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist trips to Kazakhstan. They may enter visa-free and stay up to 30 days per entry. This was reinforced by a bilateral visa-waiver memorandum signed by Israel and Kazakhstan in January 2026. As of mid-2026, holders of an ordinary (national) Israeli passport can travel to Kazakhstan for tourism without obtaining a visa in advance or on arrival. Kazakhstan's official visa regime table (egov.kz) lists Israel ordinary-passport holders as "visa-free up to 30 days." This pre-existing arrangement was strengthened on 29 January 2026 when Israel's Foreign Minister and Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister signed a memorandum removing visa requirements for holders of national passports, part of Kazakhstan's broader rapprochement with Israel after it joined the Abraham Accords in late 2025. On arrival, travelers receive a migration card; the visa-free channel is for tourism, private visits, and short-term business only - paid work, installation and repair activities are prohibited. Travelers should hold a passport valid for the duration of stay, proof of onward/return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. Kazakhstan is NOT in the Schengen area, so the EU 90/180 Schengen rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. Cumulative-stay limits within a 180-day window in the official table are applied to certain CIS nations (e.g. Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) rather than to Israel, but as a conservative practice travelers should not chain back-to-back 30-day stays to effectively reside in the country.
