Israel to Guyana visa requirements

Israeli ordinary-passport holders need a visa for Guyana. The practical tourist route is a visa on arrival valid up to 30 days, but it is conditional: you must apply online to Guyana's Department of Immigration and Citizenship beforehand and obtain an approval letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Without that letter you cannot board your flight. Guyana does not grant visa-free entry to ordinary Israeli passport holders; only Israeli diplomatic and service passports are visa-exempt. Israel is not on Guyana's general visa-waiver list, so tourists travelling on an ordinary passport require a visa. Because Guyana has no embassy or consulate in Israel, the standard channel is the "visa on arrival" scheme operated by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. Despite the name, this is not a turn-up-and-pay arrangement: the traveller must submit an online application 10-14 working days in advance and receive a pre-approval (approval) letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Airlines will deny boarding without that letter. On arrival in Guyana the visa is then stamped into the passport, typically for a stay of up to 30 days, with the fee (around USD 25 standard / USD 35 expedited) paid at the port of entry. Guyana is in South America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS are not relevant. All travellers must hold a passport valid for at least six months. Conservatively classified as visa-on-arrival because the no-visa channel cannot be confirmed for Israeli ordinary passports.
