Israel to Georgia visa requirements

Israeli ordinary passport holders can enter Georgia visa-free and stay for up to 1 full year (365 days) for tourism. No visa or eVisa is required. Since 1 January 2026, all foreign visitors must carry valid travel medical insurance with minimum coverage of 30,000 GEL. Georgia maintains one of the world's most generous visa-free regimes for Israeli citizens. Holders of an ordinary Israeli passport may enter Georgia without any visa and remain for up to one full year (365 days) per entry for tourism, business, or visiting purposes. This is a unilateral visa-free arrangement granted by Georgia and confirmed by the Embassy of Georgia in Israel. No advance application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is needed. Georgia is NOT part of the Schengen Area and has no ETIAS or ETA scheme, so the Schengen 90/180 rule does not apply. The single most important recent change affecting all travelers, including Israelis, is the mandatory travel medical insurance requirement that took effect on 1 January 2026: every foreign visitor must hold a valid health and accident insurance policy covering the entire stay, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 GEL (roughly USD 11,000). The policy can be issued by a Georgian or foreign insurer and must be presented in Georgian or English (physical or electronic) on request at the border. A passport valid for the duration of stay (six months' validity recommended), proof of onward/return travel, and proof of sufficient funds and accommodation may also be requested by border officers.
