Israel to Algeria visa requirements

Israeli ordinary passport holders cannot enter Algeria. Algeria has no diplomatic relations with Israel and refuses entry and transit to Israeli citizens; Israeli nationals are not issued visas under any circumstances. Algeria does not recognize the State of Israel and maintains a complete entry ban on Israeli passport holders. Entry and transit are both refused to citizens of Israel, even if they remain on the aircraft and continue on the same flight. Israeli nationals are not permitted to obtain Algerian visas through any Algerian diplomatic mission, and there is no visa-on-arrival, eVisa, or visa-free channel available to them. In addition, travelers of any nationality whose passports contain Israeli stamps or Israeli-issued visas may face scrutiny or denial of entry. As of 2026 there has been no normalization between Algeria and Israel, and no policy change permitting Israeli citizens to enter. Travelers holding only an Israeli ordinary passport therefore have no lawful route to enter Algeria for tourism or any other short visit. The verdict is recorded as visa-required because no no-visa channel exists; in practical terms, entry is effectively impossible for this passport.

How to apply

/01
Understand the entry ban
Recognize that Algeria refuses entry and transit to all Israeli citizens. There is no visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival option for Israeli passport holders, so a normal trip cannot be planned.
· Policy: entry refused· No visa channel
/02
Confirm you hold only an Israeli passport
If you are solely an Israeli national with only an Israeli ordinary passport, you are barred from entry and transit. Do not attempt to fly via or to Algeria on this passport.
· Israeli passport only
/03
Check for a second nationality
If you hold dual citizenship, entry may be possible only on a non-Israeli passport. You would then follow Algeria's visa rules for that other nationality, applying at an Algerian embassy.
· Dual nationals only· Use other passport
/04
Review your passport for Israeli stamps
Even on a non-Israeli passport, Israeli entry/exit stamps or Israeli-issued visas can lead to additional questioning or denial. Consider this before travel.
· Israeli stamps risk denial
/05
Avoid transit through Algerian airports
Transit is also refused for Israeli citizens, including airside connections on the same aircraft. Choose flight routings that do not pass through Algeria.
· No airside transit
/06
Plan an alternative destination
Because no lawful entry exists for Israeli passport holders, plan to visit a country that admits Israeli citizens instead.
· Choose alternative country
