Israel to Congo (Dem. Rep.) visa requirements

Israeli passport holders need a visa for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and can now obtain it online as an eVisa (the "Ordinary Flying Visa") through the official government portal evisa.gouv.cd, launched in early 2025. There is no visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival for Israelis. Budget roughly USD 300 for the eVisa plus a mandatory USD 90 border (VAP) fee paid on arrival. The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is not in the Schengen area and grants visa-free entry to only six nationalities (Burundi, Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and, until recently, Zimbabwe). Israel is not among them, and the DRC offers no general visa-on-arrival, so Israeli citizens require a visa in advance. Since early 2025 the DRC operates an electronic visa system (the single "Ordinary Flying Visa" category) on the official government portal evisa.gouv.cd, which covers tourism and short visits and can be used at air, land and sea entry points. The eVisa typically authorises a short stay of about 7 days and is valid for entry within roughly 90 days of issue. The official visa fee is around USD 300, with a mandatory additional USD 90 VAP border-entry fee collected on arrival; third-party agencies add their own service fees on top. Processing on the official portal is usually fast (often within about 72 hours), though travelers should still apply at least two weeks before departure. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry, and the passport must be valid for at least six months. Applicants who prefer or need a longer stay, or whose travel is sensitive, may still apply through a DRC embassy/consulate. Because the DRC eVisa program is relatively new and country eligibility lists can change, travelers should confirm their nationality is selectable on evisa.gouv.cd before relying on the online channel.
