Ireland to Canada visa requirements

eTA required (CAD 7) for Irish citizens flying to Canada. Up to 6 months per visit, valid 5 years. Irish ordinary passport holders are visa-exempt to Canada but must hold a valid eTA before boarding any flight to or transiting through Canada. The eTA costs CAD 7, is valid for 5 years or until passport expiry, and allows multiple entries with up to 6 months per visit at CBSA discretion. eTA is linked to the passport and not required for arrivals by land or sea. Apply via canada.ca/eta — beware of look-alike third-party sites that charge inflated fees. Air Canada and Aer Lingus fly direct from DUB to YYZ/YUL/YVR year-round.
