Indonesia to Nigeria visa requirements

Indonesian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Nigeria. The standard route for a short tourist visit is the online Tourism Visa (F5A) eVisa, which must be obtained before travel. Nigeria discontinued visa-on-arrival on 1 May 2025, so all eligible nationals, including Indonesians, now apply through the official Nigeria Immigration Service e-Visa portal. Indonesia is not on Nigeria's visa-exempt list (which is essentially limited to ECOWAS members and a handful of bilateral-waiver countries), so an Indonesian passport holder cannot enter Nigeria without a visa. As of 1 May 2025, Nigeria abolished its Visa-on-Arrival scheme on national-security grounds and replaced it with a mandatory eVisa system covering 177 countries. The relevant product for tourism is the Tourism Visa (F5A): a single-entry visa valid 90 days from issuance, permitting a maximum stay of 30 days, with no employment and no extension allowed. Applications are made online at evisa.immigration.gov.ng, approvals are emailed (typically within 24-48 hours), and the printed eVisa is presented on arrival where a sticker/endorsement is placed in the passport. Travelers must also complete the digital Landing/Exit card. The eVisa fee is tiered by nationality; Indonesia falls outside the lowest (African/ECOWAS) band and outside the highest (Western reciprocity) band, so the government visa fee is in the mid-to-high range (roughly USD 100-170), before any payment-gateway or optional agency service charges. Standard requirements include a passport valid at least 6 months, a passport photo, a confirmed return ticket, proof of accommodation or a Nigerian host address, and bank statements showing sufficient funds. Nigeria is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
