Indonesia to Jordan visa requirements
Indonesian ordinary passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival in Jordan. A single-entry tourist visa is issued at Queen Alia International Airport and other approved entry points for 40 JOD, allowing a stay of up to 30 days. An eVisa via the official Ministry of Interior portal and the Jordan Pass (which waives the visa fee) are alternatives. Indonesia is not on Jordan's prior-approval / embassy-only nationality list (which covers neighbors such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar), nor is it among the small group of visa-fee-exempt nationalities (e.g., Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, South Africa). It therefore falls into the standard category eligible for a visa on arrival. An Indonesian tourist can simply fly to Queen Alia International Airport (Amman) or arrive at King Hussein/Aqaba airport, the Sheikh Hussein Bridge, or the Wadi Araba crossing and pay 40 JOD for a single-entry visa granting up to 30 days. To avoid carrying cash and possible queues, travelers may instead apply for the Jordan eVisa in advance through the official Ministry of Interior portal (eservices.moi.gov.jo), typically issued in 1-3 business days for the same 40 JOD single-entry fee. The most popular money-saving route for tourists who plan to visit Petra is the Jordan Pass: purchased online before arrival (from 70 JOD), it WAIVES the single-entry tourist visa fee entirely and bundles entry to Petra and 40+ other attractions, provided the visitor stays a minimum of two nights (three days) in Jordan. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and proof of onward/return travel may be requested. Jordan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
