Croatia to China visa requirements

Croatian ordinary passport holders can enter mainland China visa-free for up to 30 days for eligible short visits through 31 December 2026. As of 29 June 2026, Croatian citizens holding ordinary passports do not need a visa for qualifying short visits to mainland China. China's unilateral visa-free policy for Croatia is in force through 31 December 2026 and covers business, tourism, visiting relatives or friends, exchange visits and transit for stays of no more than 30 days. The 30-day stay is counted from 00:00 on the day after entry, and official FAQs say eligible travellers may enter multiple times, with no current limit on the number of entries or total days, as long as each stay matches the declared purpose. Border officers can still examine purpose and admissibility, so travellers should carry matching evidence such as invitation letters, air tickets and accommodation reservations. The visa-free route requires a Croatian ordinary passport valid for at least the intended stay in China; the six-month-validity and blank-page rule applies to ordinary visa applications. Work, long-term study, news coverage, residence and stays beyond 30 days require the correct visa or stay permit. If a Croatian applicant needs a visa, the Embassy in Croatia now uses the China Online Visa Application system and in-person submission at the embassy after preliminary online review, not a Zagreb CVASC flow. The embassy lists current visa fees for Croatia and other Schengen countries as EUR 45 for individual single, double or multiple-entry visas while the fee reduction remains extended to 31 December 2026.
