🇭🇰HONG KONG🇿🇦SOUTH AFRICAHK-ZA Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit South Africa?
Hong Kong ordinary passport holders can visit South Africa visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism. Holders of a Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport do not need a visa to visit South Africa for tourism or business for stays of 30 days or less. This is confirmed by the South African Consulate General in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Immigration Department's visa-free access list. On arrival, immigration officers grant a visitor's entry permit (usually a stamp) for up to 30 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 30 days beyond your planned departure from South Africa and must contain at least two consecutive completely blank visa pages (endorsement pages do not count). Travelers arriving from or transiting through a yellow fever risk country must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate. To stay longer than 30 days or for non-tourism purposes (work, study, long-term residence), a temporary residence visa must be applied for in advance. There is no eVisa requirement and no fee for a visa-free tourist entry.
