🇭🇰HONG KONG🇹🇷TÜRKIYEHK-TR Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit Türkiye?
No visa needed. HKSAR ordinary passport holders can enter Türkiye visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Holders of an ordinary Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport are visa-exempt for travel to Türkiye for tourism or short visits. The Türkiye Ministry of Foreign Affairs grants HKSAR ordinary passport holders visa-free entry for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. No e-Visa or sticker visa is required for this purpose. You simply present a passport that meets Türkiye's validity rule on arrival: it must be valid for at least 60 days beyond your maximum permitted stay, which works out to at least 150 days of validity from the date of entry. Note that British National (Overseas) BN(O) passport holders are NOT visa-exempt and must obtain an e-Visa via evisa.gov.tr; this guide covers the HKSAR ordinary passport only. Border officers may also ask for proof of onward or return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. The 90/180 rule is cumulative, so days spent in Türkiye across multiple trips count toward the 90-day total within any rolling 180-day window. If you intend to stay longer, work, study, or reside, a separate visa or residence permit is required.
