Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit TN?
HK ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist visits to Tunisia. You can enter visa-free and stay for up to 90 days. Holders of the Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport enjoy visa-free entry to Tunisia for tourism and short visits. The Hong Kong Immigration Department officially lists Tunisia as granting visa-free access for a stay of up to 3 months (90 days), and the UK FCDO travel advice confirms visitors may stay without a visa for up to 90 days. No advance application, e-visa, or visa-on-arrival is required for a short tourist stay. Tunisia is in North Africa and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. At immigration you should be prepared to show a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a return/onward ticket, proof of accommodation (a confirmed hotel booking or an invitation letter from a host), and evidence of sufficient funds. A small number of travelers have been delayed or refused entry for failing to provide accommodation proof, so carry it. There is no visa fee, but a per-night lodging (tourist) tax is collected by hotels on arrival, and a small currency stamp duty may apply when importing foreign cash.
