Hong Kong (SAR China) to Pakistan visa requirements

Hong Kong (HKSAR) ordinary passport holders need a visa for Pakistan and should apply online for a Pakistan eVisa through the official NADRA portal (visa.nadra.gov.pk) before travel. There is no visa-free entry, and the previous free Visa-Prior-to-Arrival channel was suspended from 1 January 2026. A HKSAR ordinary passport holder cannot enter Pakistan visa-free. The standard route for a short tourist visit is the Pakistan eVisa, applied for online via the Government of Pakistan's NADRA portal at visa.nadra.gov.pk. Hong Kong is among the 175+ nationalities eligible for the online visa system (only India, Taiwan, and Armenia are excluded from the eVisa). A tourist eVisa is typically issued as a single-entry visa permitting a stay of up to 90 days, with the visa valid for 3 months. Importantly, effective 1 January 2026 Pakistan suspended both its Visa-on-Arrival and its free Visa-Prior-to-Arrival (VPA) programs that previously covered around 126 nationalities; travelers must now use the standard paid eVisa, and processing times have lengthened (officials cite up to about 7-10 business days, sometimes longer). Fees vary by nationality, generally in the USD 20-75 range for a tourist eVisa; applicants should confirm the exact amount for Hong Kong on the portal's fee-structure page at the time of application. Passports should be valid at least six months beyond the intended departure with blank pages. A consulate (Consulate General of Pakistan, Hong Kong) exists for support and manual applications if the online system is unavailable. Pakistan is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply.
