Hong Kong (SAR China) to New Caledonia visa requirements

HKSAR ordinary passport holders can visit New Caledonia visa-free for up to 3 months within any 6-month period for tourism. No visa, eVisa, or ETIAS is required. New Caledonia is a French overseas collectivity in the South Pacific. It is NOT part of the Schengen area and is outside the European Union for entry purposes, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do NOT apply here. Holders of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) ordinary passport enjoy visa-free access to New Caledonia for tourism or short visits of up to three months over a period of six months, as confirmed by the Hong Kong Immigration Department and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong. This exemption does not cover gainful employment, which requires a separate work permit. Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least three months beyond their planned departure, with at least two blank pages, plus proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. Because New Caledonia uses the CFP franc (XPF) and is governed by French entry rules administered locally, no fee or application is needed for a short tourist stay arriving directly into the territory.
