Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit Mexico?
Hong Kong ordinary passport holders can travel to Mexico visa-free for tourism for up to 180 days. No visa or electronic authorization is needed; you only complete the Multiple Immigration Form (FMM/FMME). Holders of a Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport do NOT need a visa to visit Mexico for tourism. Mexico grants visa-free entry to Hong Kong for stays of up to 180 days for tourism, business, transit, study or medical treatment. Mexico's Electronic Authorization System (SAE) applies only to Russia, Turkey and Ukraine, so Hong Kong travelers are fully visa-exempt and do not file any pre-travel authorization. On entry you must complete the Forma Migratoria Multiple (FMM/FMME) visitor permit. For arrivals by air the permit fee (about US$35) is normally already included in your airline ticket's taxes and surcharges, and the form is increasingly handled digitally at the airport. Land-border arrivals staying 7 days or less pay no fee. Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay, and immigration officers may ask for proof of return/onward travel, accommodation and sufficient funds. The 180-day figure is the maximum the officer may grant; the actual stay stamped is at the officer's discretion.
