Hong Kong (SAR China) to Croatia visa requirements

No visa required. HKSAR ordinary passport holders can enter Croatia visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period under the Schengen short-stay rule. Croatia has been a full member of the Schengen Area since 1 January 2023. Holders of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) ordinary passport enjoy visa-free access to the entire Schengen Area, including Croatia, for short stays of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period for tourism, business or family visits. This is confirmed by the Hong Kong Immigration Department, which lists Croatia among the territories granting visa-free entry. No advance visa or travel authorisation is needed at present. As of 10 April 2026 the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is fully operational across Schengen borders, including Croatia, so on entry travellers register biometric data (facial image and fingerprints) at automated kiosks instead of receiving a passport stamp. ETIAS, the European Travel Information and Authorisation System, is not yet in force; it is expected to launch in late 2026, after which HKSAR passport holders will need to obtain an inexpensive online travel authorisation before departure. For travel on or around 30-31 May 2026, no ETIAS is required, but travellers should re-check before booking. The visa-free clock is shared across all Schengen states, so any prior days spent in other Schengen countries within the preceding 180 days count toward the 90-day limit.
