Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit Brazil?
Visa-free. Hong Kong ordinary passport holders can enter Brazil without a visa for tourism for up to 90 days per visit. Holders of a Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport do not need a visa to visit Brazil for tourism or short business. Under a bilateral visa-exemption arrangement in force since 22 October 2008, they may stay up to 90 days per visit, with combined stays capped at 180 days within any one-year period. The stay may be extended once at the Brazilian Federal Police for a further period, not exceeding the 180-day annual cap. Brazil's eVisa scheme does not apply to Hong Kong; it covers only nationals of Australia, Canada, the United States, and (business only) China and India. Travellers should hold a passport valid for the duration of stay, proof of onward/return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. Visa-free entry is for tourism, transit, and unpaid business visits only — it does not permit paid work or residence.
