Hong Kong (SAR China) to Benin visa requirements

HK ordinary passport holders can enter Benin visa-free for up to 14 days for tourism. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry. For stays beyond 14 days, an e-visa is required. However, Benin requires all travelers aged nine months and older to present a valid International Certificate of Vaccination against yellow fever (the WHO "Yellow Card") on arrival, so this is effectively a compulsory health document. Travelers planning to stay longer than 14 days, or seeking multiple-entry access, must apply for a Benin e-visa through the official portal (evisa.bj) before travel; e-visas cover 30-day single/multiple entry or 90-day multiple entry. Note that low-cost airlines and third-party "visa agency" websites often blur the line between the official e-visa and the visa-free channel; for a genuine short tourist visit of 14 days or fewer, no visa fee applies. Passports should be valid for at least six months beyond the intended date of entry, with at least one blank page. Because the 14-day visa-free allowance is narrow, travelers whose itinerary risks overrunning should obtain an e-visa in advance to avoid overstay penalties.
