🇬🇧United Kingdom🇹🇼Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)GB-TW United Kingdom to Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) visa requirements
British Citizen passport holders can visit Taiwan visa-free for 90 days and may apply in Taiwan to extend once to 180 days. Taiwan's Bureau of Consular Affairs lists United Kingdom passport holders with British Citizen status as eligible for visa-exempt entry for up to 90 days. GOV.UK confirms British citizens can visit Taiwan visa-free for tourism, family or friend visits, business meetings, and cultural or sports events, and can extend the stay by a further 90 days after arrival. BOCA requires a passport valid for at least 6 months on the date of entry, a confirmed return or onward air/sea ticket, and final admissibility at the port of entry. Complete the Taiwan Arrival Card online within 3 days before arrival unless exempt. Visa-free entry is not a work or study permission; employment, long stays, journalism, formal study, or residence require the correct ROC visa or permit through the Taipei Representative Office or Taiwan authorities.
