Do United Kingdom passport holders need a visa to visit SN?
British passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist trips to Senegal. You can enter visa-free and stay for up to 90 days (3 months). As of 2026, holders of an ordinary United Kingdom passport can travel to Senegal for tourism without a visa for stays of up to 90 days (3 months). This is confirmed by GOV.UK foreign travel advice and the Embassy of Senegal in London, which classifies the UK as Category A (visa-exempt). No advance application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for British citizens. At the border you must show proof of onward or return travel and confirmed accommodation. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date and have at least two blank pages. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required only if you arrive from, or have transited through, a country with yellow fever transmission risk. If you intend to stay longer than 3 months you must register with local authorities to obtain a Carte d'etranger residence card. There is no fee for visa-free tourist entry.
