United Kingdom to Palestinian Territory visa requirements

A UK ordinary passport holder does not get a separate "Palestinian" visa. Entry to the West Bank (and any of the Palestinian Territories) is controlled entirely by Israel, so you must obtain Israel's Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA-IL) before you travel. There is no Palestinian visa fee or visa-on-arrival; you clear Israeli immigration and then cross into the Palestinian Authority areas. British citizens are visa-exempt for short tourist visits to Israel and, by extension, the Israeli-controlled Occupied Palestinian Territories (mainly the West Bank). However, there is no stand-alone Palestinian visa: under the visa policy of Palestine, no entry conditions exist beyond those imposed by Israel, because Israel controls all access points to the West Bank (and Israel/Hamas control Gaza). Since 1 January 2025, all visa-exempt nationals, including UK ordinary passport holders, must obtain an approved Israel Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA-IL) before boarding, costing NIS 25 (about USD 8 / GBP 6). The ETA-IL is valid for 2 years (or until the passport expires) and allows multiple entries with stays up to 90 days each. On arrival travellers receive a paper/electronic entry slip that must be kept and shown at Israeli military checkpoints when crossing into Palestinian Authority areas. Some travellers entering via the Allenby Bridge from Jordan receive stamps restricting movement to PA-controlled areas only. Gaza is effectively inaccessible to ordinary tourists. Passports must be valid for at least 90 days beyond the arrival date. Note: the UK FCDO advises against travel to parts of these territories, and entry is always at Israeli discretion. Because there is no visa-free channel directly into Palestine and a mandatory pre-travel authorisation (the Israeli ETA-IL) governs entry, the correct verdict is "eta".
