🇬🇧UNITED KINGDOM🇳🇿NEW ZEALANDGB-NZ Do United Kingdom passport holders need a visa to visit New Zealand?
UK ordinary passport holders do not need a visa for tourism in New Zealand, but must obtain an NZeTA (electronic travel authority) before travel and pay the NZD 100 International Visitor Levy. The United Kingdom is on New Zealand's visa-waiver list, so British citizens travelling for tourism do not need a visitor visa. However, before boarding you must hold an approved NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority), requested via the official app (NZD 17) or website (NZD 23). At the same time you pay the mandatory International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) of NZD 100. The NZeTA is valid for up to 2 years and allows multiple visits. UK passport holders enjoy an extended stay benefit: up to 6 months per visit (versus 3 months for most other waiver countries), subject to an overall limit of 6 months within any 12-month period. Allow up to 72 hours for the NZeTA decision, though many are approved in minutes. Your passport should be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure from New Zealand.
