🇬🇧UNITED KINGDOM🇪🇬EGYPTGB-EG Do United Kingdom passport holders need a visa to visit Egypt?
UK ordinary passport holders need a visa for Egypt. The simplest route is the official eVisa (about USD 25 single-entry) applied online before travel; visa on arrival (about USD 30 cash) is also available at airports. British citizens travelling to Egypt for tourism normally require a visa. The recommended option is the official eVisa from visa2egypt.gov.eg, costing USD 25 for single entry (USD 60 multiple-entry), permitting a stay of up to 30 days. A single-entry eVisa must be used within 90 days of issue; a multiple-entry eVisa is valid for entries over 180 days. A visa on arrival (about USD 30, cash only, at airport kiosks before immigration) is also available. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date and have at least one blank page. Note one exception: if you arrive by air at Sharm El-Sheikh and stay under 15 days within the Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba or Taba resort zone, you receive a free entry stamp and do not need a visa; leaving the zone or staying longer requires a full visa.
