Do United Kingdom passport holders need a visa to visit Brazil?

No visa needed. British citizens with an ordinary passport can enter Brazil visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days. UK ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist visits to Brazil. They may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days, which can be extended once by the Federal Police for a further 90 days, up to a maximum of 180 days within any 12-month period. Importantly, the United Kingdom is NOT affected by the eVisa that Brazil reinstated on 10 April 2025 for US, Canadian and Australian citizens — that requirement does not apply to British nationals. To enter, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months, and immigration may ask for proof of onward/return travel, accommodation and sufficient funds. Always ensure you receive an entry stamp, as missing stamps can lead to fines on departure.
