🇬🇧UNITED KINGDOM🇦🇪UAEGB-AE Do United Kingdom passport holders need a visa to visit UAE?
UK ordinary passport holders get a free visa on arrival in the UAE, allowing up to 90 days of tourism within a 180-day period. No advance application is required. British citizens holding an ordinary passport do not need to arrange a visa before travelling to the United Arab Emirates. On arrival at any UAE airport (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.), immigration issues a free visit visa stamp. As of an update confirmed on 19 August 2025, the permitted stay was extended from 30 days to up to 90 days within a rolling 180-day period, taken continuously or split across multiple visits. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. The visa on arrival is issued free of charge; only paid extensions or overstay fines incur costs. Frequent visitors may instead opt for the paid 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa (90 days per stay).
